Core Principle
—
The Catholic Church teaches that we are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God's creation. This principle, known as "Care for God's Creation," emphasizes the responsibility we have to steward the environment and ensure that the earth remains a viable home for future generations. The Catechism of the Catholic Church highlights that respect for creation is a fundamental aspect of our faith (CCC 2415). By caring for the environment, we honor God's creation and promote the common good.
