Challenges: Options in Aging
For Lawrence County seniors, we offer a full spectrum of services through our program Challenges: Options in Aging.
Challenges Centers
Challenges’ centers provide educational, recreational and health-related activities to support the independence of older adults who live in Lawrence County. Many of the activities are free; others require membership.

WISE
Wellness Initiative for Senior Education
WISE is a free, interactive program designed to support the health, safety, and well-being of older adults. The program focuses on helping seniors better understand how aging affects their bodies and how to make informed choices about their health.
Participants learn about:
- Healthy aging and wellness habits
- Managing stress and building resilience
- Safe use of medications and understanding side effects
- Risks related to alcohol and prescription drug use
- Strategies to stay independent and in control of their health
WISE sessions are welcoming, supportive, and discussion-based, helping older adults feel more confident and connected.

In-Home Services
Challenges also offers comprehensive in-home services for Lawrence County residents 60+ to help them remain safely in their own home. Income and age requirements may apply.
