In-kind (non-cash) donations are another valuable way to give. These tangible items are tax deductible based on their fair-market value. Currently, the most needed items on our Wish List include the following:
- Baby wipes and diapers, especially in sizes 3-5
- Pack and Plays
- Hygiene needs: razors and shaving cream, band aids, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner
To make in-kind donations to either Catholic Charities or Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center, please call Deborah Helgeson, In-Kind Donation Coordinator, at (412) 456-6695 Tuesdays through Thursdays.
HOPE TOTES are reusable bags or containers of items that can be assembled by you our donors or by staff here at Catholic Charities.
Hope Totes can help clients transitioning out of St. Joseph House of Hospitality or our Roselia Apartments get set up in their new homes; they can supply the parents that we serve through our Pregnancy and Parenting Program with essential infant-care items; and they can help the hunger among us with meals for themselves and their families. Please see our HOPE TOTES flyer to find out more, or contact Deborah at (412) 456-6695 / firstname.lastname@example.org
It is difficult for us to pick up in-kind donations, but they may be dropped off at one of our office locations or program sites.
We are not currently accepting donations of furniture or clothing (accept for men's clothing for our residents at St. Joseph House of Hospitality). However, if you wish to donate these items, please contact any of the following organizations:
