Celebrating 500 Blankets

“I love children,” says retired schoolteacher, Mary Anne Mansell. She regularly mails a box of homemade baby quilts and layette attire to our Outreach Offices, where they are distributed to expectant and new moms through our Roselia Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program.

Earlier this year, Mary Anne created her 500th blanket! We celebrated this month by surprising her with an award of recognition.

On behalf of Catholic Charities, its leadership, team members and the hundreds of families and their babies Mary Ann has so graciously served in love, we are humbled by her inspiration, tender affections and desire to glorify God, our Father. We offer Mary Anne our awestruck gratitude for her example of selfless ministry and investment of heart for the youngest and most vulnerable among us.
