Volunteer with Outreach Services
Working with one of the busiest programs at Catholic Charities' administrative headquarters, you'll be directly assisting those in need as they call or visit the agency to inquire about services. You must display a sensitivity to the needs of others and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment as the program averages more than 100 requests for service a day!
Working with our team of caseworkers, you may assist with:
- Answering the phone in an appropriate and courteous manner.
- Maintaining a current resource file, and filing system.
- Greeting clients in a professional manner.
- Organizing donated items for distribution.
Neighborhood Based Services
Neighborhood Based Services, based in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh, provides home based supportive counseling, case management, life skills education, homemaker services, transportation assistance and help with food, clothing and other emergency needs. Working with our team of caseworkers, your help may be needed with:
- Answering the phone
- Maintaining our resource file
- Organizing donated items for distribution
- Assisting individuals with employment searches and completing job applications
