Gambling Addiction
Pathological gambling is a treatable disorder. A simple two-question test may indicate whether an individual has a gambling problem. Answering "yes" to either question indicates further assessment by a counselor or clinical professional is recommended.
Have you ever had to lie to people important to you about how much you gambled?
Have you felt the need to bet more and more money?
If gambling becomes more than a game or entertainment, there is help. If you or a loved one is experiencing problems due to gambling behavior, outpatient counseling is available in Allegheny, Butler, Greene and Washington counties.

Please call or text one of our counselors at 412-841-7724.
Rachel's Vineyard
Post abortion counseling is available to any man or woman who has been living with the emotional or spiritual pain of abortion. In addition to individual counseling or family counseling, a post abortion healing retreat called "Rachel's Vineyard" is offered by Catholic Charities counselors twice a year in conjunction with the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Married couples, mothers, fathers, grandparents, and siblings of aborted children as well as persons who have been involved in the abortion industry come to Rachel's Vineyard in search of peace and inner healing.
Retreat Weekend Details
A "Rachel's Vineyard" Retreat is an opportunity for you to escape the daily pressures of your life so you can focus on grieving and all the ways abortion may have affected you. The environment is nurturing and supportive and is open to individuals, married couples, parents, grandparents… anyone who has experienced the pain and loss of abortion.
A spiritual process is followed throughout the weekend using rituals, meditations, a memorial service and Mass of Resurrection with the hope that peace and acceptance may eventually replace anger, remorse and sorrow.
Features of the Retreat Weekend include:
- Single occupancy room. Married couples are encouraged to attend the retreat together and can generally share a room.
- All meals provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please be sure to mention this during your registration phone call.
- Time for reflection and prayer. The retreat weekend is designed to give you an array of opportunities for reflection, prayer, reconciliation and dialogue. Though the weekend takes a Catholic Christian perspective, persons of all faith backgrounds are welcome.
- Safe and nurturing environment. The goal of the weekend is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for a journey toward healing.
- Mass & Memorial Service. You will have an opportunity to invite close family and/or friends to the service
