Roselia Center

Catholic Charities' Roselia Center exists to care for young women during an unexpected pregnancy. Located in Pittsburgh's Oakland section, the Center began more than 100 years ago as Roselia Foundling and Maternity Hospital. A home-like residential setting has replaced that turn-of-the-century hospital environment and provides a nurturing home during pregnancy and following the birth of a child.

The services of Roselia Center are open to women living throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Staff help young mothers find adoptive families for their babies or help prepare the young mothers for parenthood and self-sustaining lifestyles.

An on-site high school provides opportunities for young mothers to study and graduate while offering nursery care for infants and special classes and parenting training for both the mother and father. The Center also offers free pregnancy testing, counseling for families, health-related casework services, and employment counseling.

Confidential and comprehensive services are available to both residents and non-residents of Roselia Center. It is not necessary for a woman to live at the Center to use its services. If you have a need related to a pregnancy or a newborn or would like more information about Roselia Center, call our 24-hour hotline at 412.682.4410.
