Neighborhood Based Services
Neighborhood Based Services, or NBS, was created in the belief that the need to be independent and self-sufficient is important to all members of the community. NBS provides the support families and individuals need to achieve, maintain, or retain personal, family, and economic independence.
NBS offers counseling, life skills education, transportation to medical and community service providers, and case management. These services include instructional care if the person is functionally capable but lacks the knowledge to complete necessary tasks, and home help and non-medical personal care if the individual is functionally unable to perform essential tasks of daily living.
