Catholic Charities provides the basic human needs of shelter and support to the very needy through Housing and Homeless Services. The following residential facilities are offered through Catholic Charities:
St. Joseph's House of Hospitality was founded in 1937 in Pittsburgh's Hill District. A pioneer in delivering services to the poor and homeless, St. Joseph's offers supportive housing in the form of single room occupancies and congregate living.St. Joseph's House of Hospitality's professional staff of religious and lay persons serve males over 50 years of age with a limited income and who have been homeless or who are in danger of becoming homeless.
