Commemorative Giving

Sometimes when you want to show someone how much you care, it can be difficult to find the gift to express your feelings. Consider giving a commemorative gift. This gift does not come in a box and is not tied with a ribbon. It is a gift from the heart.

Your gift from the heart supports Catholic Charities and our mission to serve with excellence, professionalism, integrity and compassion the human needs of individuals and families, regardless of their religious affiliation, and to provide leadership in mobilizing the resources of parishes and the wider community in addressing these needs, while at the same time honoring a living person, remembering those who have passed away, or celebrating an event like a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement, or special holiday.

Your gift is a thoughtful way to remember your family. It also offers health and hope to the people we care for on daily basis.

Gifts from the heart are appropriate for many occasions:

• To honor a birthday, anniversary, birth of a child, graduation, or any occasion

Your gift in memory of a love one is a lasting memorial. At a time of sadness, it is a way to show love and respect, and to offer hope for the future. Your memorial gift is a meaningful remembrance. You can invite others to give by including these words in the obituary notice:
“Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 212 Ninth Street,
Pittsburgh, PA 15222".

Recognizing Your Gift
Catholic Charities will send an acknowledgment to both you and the person commemorated by your gift from the heart. (The gift amount will be confidential.) Your gift will also be recognized in Catholic Charities’ Newsletter and Annual Report. If wish your gift to be anonymous, please notify the Director of Development and Planned Giving or indicate this request when mailing a gift.
